How do you tell a story in a way that truly captures people’s attention? How do you create sound, atmosphere and presence in a medium where the listener only has their headphones and imagination?
In Podcasting and Digital Storytelling, we work with modern storytelling. You can work with sound in our podcast studio or explore video and other digital formats. You will have the opportunity to develop your own ideas from the very first thought to a finished production.
This course is for you if you love great stories, are curious about people, and want to learn how to communicate in a way that makes others listen. We explore why some podcasts feel like small worlds you do not want to leave, and how sound, interviews, music, structure and editing can be used to create atmosphere and storytelling.
There is room to dive deep into your own idea, work as part of a team, and get support in developing the right format. Along the way, you will learn some of the most important tools of the digital storyteller: interview techniques, script development, narrative structure, research, voice-over, recording and editing.
We can work with documentary stories, personal narratives and fictional universes — only your imagination sets the limit.
The goal is not just to learn the technical skills, but to find your own voice and become clearer about what you want to tell — and why others should listen.
