Our creative subjects invite you to explore ideas, materials, and artistic expression through hands-on work and experimentation. Teaching takes place in three creative studios at the school: a Visual Arts Studio, a Textile Studio, and a Glass and Ceramics Studio.
When you enter the creative spaces, you are met by a quote from the Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard: “To dare is to lose your balance for a moment. Not to dare is to lose yourself.” This idea captures the spirit of the creative subjects – the courage to experiment, take risks, and explore new ways of expressing yourself.
Our creative environment encourages curiosity, experimentation, and personal expression. You work both independently and in shared projects, guided by teachers who support your individual
process. The focus is not on finding the “right” result, but on daring to explore, reflect, and develop your own artistic voice.
Across the creative subjects, you work with form, colour, materials, and techniques, building both practical skills and creative confidence. The classes are open to all levels, whether you are new to creative work or already have experience.
